Does it cost anything to be an affiliate?
No. There are no fees of any kind for applying to or participating in the PurpleFishes affiliate program. There is no minimum earnings level or quota you must reach before being paid. Your start earning right away.
How do I get started?
Read through this page carefully, paying particular attention to the program rules. Fill in the online application form. We will review your application and when approved, you can log into the "Link Building" and "Reporting" areas of this website. Create links, add them to your website and you will start earning referral fees. Login to your account at anytime to track your progress.
Does my website qualify for the affiliate program?
Examples of sites which we deem unsuitable for our affiliate program include those that host or promote: sexually explicit material, violence, discrimination, illegal activities or violation of itellectual property rights. We reserve the right to refuse any application without reason, or to terminate the account of any affiliate breaching these rules. In this case any commission already earnt will be forfeit.
What if I don't live in the UK?
We are happy to accept affiliates into the program from outsite the UK but you must be able to accept a cheque in GBP. You would be responsible for any fees payable.
Can I earn commission on my own purchases?
We pay commission for referrals as a way of aquiring new customers, not to provide exisiting customers with a further discount on our already low prices. No commission is payable on your purchases, or those of anyone living at the same address.

What type of reporting do your provide?
Once you join the program you will have access to the "Reporting" section of this site. Here you will be able to view visitors sent and sales generated from your links and see how much commission you have earnt.
Commission and clicks can be broken down by site.
I've forgotten my password, how can I retrieve it?
As your account will allow you to change the name and address your commission cheques are sent to, if you forget your password, you must write to us at: E Consulting UK Ltd, Unit 5, Sancorp Business Park, Leeds Road, Bradford, BD3 9TJ, stating your name, address and amount of you last commission cheque. This is for your protection and to prevent anyone taking control of your account.
When do I get my first cheque?
We print our cheques on the 15th of each month (or the next working day if the 15th falls on a weekend). We send them out by first class post and therefore they will arrive 1-2 days later.
What if I can't accept a cheuqe in GBP?
If you can't accept a sterling cheque then you will not be able to join our affiliate program.
How often do I get paid?
We process payments on the 15th or each month (or the next working day if the 15th falls on a weekend). We don't have any minimum payment amount so as long as you generate some sales, you will be paid each month.
Who are purple affiliates?
We are E Consulting UK Ltd and we run all all of the sites available on this affiliate network. We manage the scheme ourselves and you can talk to us on 0800 177 7772.
What rate of commission will I be paid?
The commission levels vary depending on which of our shops you are promoting. This is because each has different pricing and profit structions. Commission might be based on a flat amount (e.g. £4 per sale) or might be
a percentage of all sales generated (e.g. 15% of sales values). Generally sites with a fixed commission pay more, because we expect to recoup some of the fee via repeat orders from the same customer.
Sites which pay a percentage of sales tend not to have such a large repeat order rate.
Why does purple affiliates have a hosted banner service?
We host all the banners on our network which offers you the following advantages:
- There is no need to download the banners and upload them onto your webspace.
- We cover all the bandwidth costs.
- There is no need to keep replacing your banners as offers change.
Of course, if you know how, you can create your own banners and links using the sample code as a guide.
How often are the reports and statistics updated?
All of our reporting and statistics are real-time (There is sometimes a 5 minute delay if our servers are busy).
What about orders that are fraudulent or "charged-back"?
As soon as an order is placed by a visitor from your site, it will appear in the reporting tool as PENDING. Once the order has been dispatched the status will change to CONFIRMED and the commission will be added to your account. Orders may start off as PENDING and dissappear from your reports.
This will happen when the customer has called to cancel the order, or we believe it to be fraudulent. In this case, no commission is due. Charge-backs that occur after your payment has been confirmed will be subtracted from your payments next time.
Will all orders pay commission?
No, orders that are cancelled, refunded, for goods out of stock or orders we consider likely to be fraudulent will not pay commission.
Are there any forms of advertising that are unnacceptable?
Email, pop-ups (and related) and anything we consider, in our reasonable opinion, likely to annoy or cause a nuisance to visitors. Adwords (or other PPC) using the keywords below.
Are there any keywords I can't use?
Yes. PurpleFishes (or any variant), and the site name you are promoting (or any variant).
Are there any trade marks I should be aware of?
PurpleFishes (and variants) is a registered trademark. You may only use this mark in connection with our affiliate scheme in order to promote us. You should use the symbol ® and the text "PurpleFishes® is a registered trademark of E Consulting UK Ltd." anywhere this mark is used. Failure to comply will result in you affiliate account being terminated and all outstanding commission being forfeit. If in doubt, do not use our trademark.
What happens if I break any of the rules?
Should you breach any of the rules above your affiliate account will immediately be terminated, and all outstanding commission will be forfeit.
